MSC Cruises is the world’s largest privately-owned cruise company. Registered in Switzerland and based in Geneva, it was founded in Naples (Italy) in 1989. It is part of the Mediterranean Shipping Company S.A. (MSC) which encompasses world-leading maritime companies.

Fourth largest cruise company

Today, MSC Cruises is the fourth largest cruise company in the world, after Carnival Corporation & plc, Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. and Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings. The fleet comprises 17 modern, innovative and elegantly designed ships. More than half its fleet is made up of massive modern ships (including two that are among the largest at sea), while the rest is made up of comfortable mid-size vessels.

MSC Cruises in Venice

The fleet is composed by 6 main classes: Lirica, Musica, Fantasia, Meraviglia, Meraviglia Plus and Seaside. Furthermore, other 12 ships will enter service in the next years. For 2020, MSC Cruises will operate in Venice cruise terminal with Orchestra (Musica Class), Magnifica (Musica Class), Musica (Musica Class), Sinfonia (Lirica Class), Opera (Lirica Class) and Lirica (Lirica Class).
